Official Opening of our Reading Sanctuary
Fri 21 Nov 2014Our Reading for Pleasure Group were delighted when our Reading Sanctuary was officially opened earlier today. We were fortunate that our Book Wizard sent us a special guest in the form ofchildren's author Richie Smith to perform the official opening. He then read to children from a selection of his stories and amused them with some real magic!
Later on in the day, the Book Wizard sent another helper Lesley Dennison from the Diocese of Liverpool to read to Y4 pupils.
The day was part of our Charlie and the Chocolate Factory activities, celebrating 50 years of Charlie.
Our Reading Sanctuary offers an opportunity for children to enjoy reading alone and to one another during playtimes and lunchtimes.
