  • Scarecrow Competion

    The quality of entries for our scarecrow competition was outstanding! Materials used were from a range of recyclable materials, including cans, plastic bottles and clothing. The imagination of children and their families astounded us all! It was really difficult to choose but with the help of our visitors from the parish communities of St Luke's and St Dominic's, we were able to announce the winners. We had a scarecrow parade during assembly this morning. Scarecrows will be displayed in our allotment area for all to se and enjoy. many thanks to all of you who took the time to enter the competition!
  • Easter Story

    We celebrated the Easter Story in school through a number of performances, presented by Nursery and Years 3 and 4. The performances helped us focus on the meaning of Easter and in particular the events of Holy Week. The children interpreted with events spiritually and with passion. Many thanks to those parents, carers and members of our parish families who were able to join us. We wish you all a happy and holy easter.
  • Learning Conferences

    We had an excellent turn out for our Learning Conferences where pupil progress and targets were shared and discussed with pupils, parents and carers and staff. This is a great opportunity for us to work together in partnership to support your child's learning. If you were unable to attend, we will contact you after the Easter break to make a further appointment. Many thanks for those of you who completed our questionnaire during your visit. The feedback was very positive and will be published shortly on our website.
  • Crosby Hall

    Today we waved Year 2 off on their trip to Crosby Hall. They started the day with a visit to Woolton Cinema before arriving for tea in Crosby Hall. After tea they were going on a night walk and tomorrow they have a number of challenges to face on the ropes course and are looking forward to building their own shelters.
  • Sport Relief

    Today we celebrated Sport Relief in school by walking, skipping or running around our field to complete a mile. Our Nursery children managed one circuit of the track whilst some of our older children completed 6 and seven circuits! We raised over £160! Congratulations to the children and staff who took part.   • World Book Day Celebrations

    Our celebrations began with Books at breakfast within the Foundation Stage. It was really well attended. Throughout the day we had story telling activities, hot chocolate and marshmallows, fun reading activities and we decorated potatoes as our favourite book characters!   • Our Community Allotment Day

  • Cross Country

    Congratulations to our cross country teams who ran really well today. This was our first 'home' race and we were delighted to see Leighton come home first with Kian not far behind in 6th place. Jessica came 9th in the girls race. Well done to all those who took part!
  • The High Sheriff of Merseyside visits Hope

    We were delighted to welcome the High Sheriff to Hope Primary today. He came in his full ceremonial dress. Whilst he was here, he toured the school, speaking to children and staff, telling them a little about himself and his role. A number of children joined him for a cup of tea and asked him some quite challenging questions! Check out our school blog for pictures!
  • Our Day of Hope

    Today, on the anniversary of the release of Nelson Mandela, we celebrated our day of Hope in school. We explored our mission statement, BELIEVE, RESPECT, ACHIEVE and talked about it's importance and what it means to us. We took part in art and dance activities and had opportunity to work alongside an artist to help visualise our mission.
