  • Our Day of Hope

    Fri 06 Feb 2015
We had a special day in school to celebrate our day of Hope, where we explored our Mission and shared our learning with members of the local community. We enjoyed some international cartoons in our cinema and wrote messages of Hope for one another which we placed on our tree of Hope. We planted bulbs and painted spoon flowers, to give us rays of Hope outside. The Book Wizard came to visit and then we celebrated the cultures of our international pupils through story, dance and drama. Our choir entertained us with their tribute to Nelson Mandela medley and our day was completed with afternoon tea with our visitors from St Luke's and St Dominics. It was a wonderful day of Hope, a true celebration!

I was delighted to be an executive editor during a recent visit to Y6 who are writing news reports. I was impressed by the children's reporting skills and their command of grammar.
