Fun Day in Early Years
Tue 16 Jul 2013The sun shone for us today as we held our Fun Day in Early Years. Many thanks to all of those who were able to support us. It was a thoroughly enjoyable event and we raised a profit of £270! Thank you.

Market Garden...
Wed 10 Jul 2013Roll up, roll up, roll up! The vegetables that the children have planted and tended so carefully are currently being harvested. On sale this morning we had lettuce, potatoes and radishes. There will be more on sale tomorrow so don't forget to bring your wallets and purses!
In the autumn term we hope to add some plants to our produce. Please support us as we develop enterprise skills within our children!

A Celebration of Sport
Tue 09 Jul 2013Children enjoyed a day of sporting activities today as they took part in our celebration of sport. A range of events, stationed around the field, allowed all children to take part. There were refreshments available in our shaded drinks stations and plenty of opportunity to cool off! Children supported and encouraged one another throughout all the activities, official photographs and event announcements were created by the children themselves. It was a most enjoyable event, enjoyed by all... and the sun shone! Many thanks to the staff who co-ordinated the event and manned the stations!

Children's University Graduation
Mon 24 Jun 2013We were delighted when 50 of our pupils graduated from Children's University at Hope University yesterday. Children and their families joined us as we celebrated their achievements together. Pupils listened to an inspirational talk from Rev Andrew Stott, where the message was clear, believe in yourself, work hard and you can achieve great things! They finished off their celebrations with a picnic in the park! A huge thank you to the children for the commitment they have shown and for the staff who led the extra curricular activities.

Hope Walk
Mon 13 May 2013We took a group of children on a walk down Hope Street in town, which joins the 2 Cathedrals and our Joint faiths.

Science Ambassadors
Mon 08 Apr 2013We have recently identified a number of children across the school to be our ambassadors for science! They are currently working on their own principles for science at Hope. We look forward to some great science activities!

VIP Lunch
Mon 11 Mar 2013We have recently launched our VIP lunch club where children are nominated by support staff to attend a VIP lunch in the studio. Nominated children are allowed to invite a guest and come and join us for a special lunch time treat. The children are valued as special guests and following lunch served by the lunchtime staff, are invited to take part in a range of lunchtime activities and treats!

World Book Day
Mon 11 Mar 2013Children and staff dressed up to celebrate World Book day in style last week. Children enjoyed lots of fun reading activities together which included a book at bedtime and hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and marshmallows!
Each class presented their own book cover of their class reader, in their own style. It was a lovely day!

Cross Country
Mon 11 Feb 2013On Thursday, our children took part in a cross country race at St Margaret Mary's Junior School. It was extremely cold, wet and windy but our children were keeen to brave the elements and do their best for the school. Ellie Shaw Johnson made her debut for Hope and was one of our medal winners, coming 4th! the girls worked as a team and were rewarded with their overall position of 2nd place.
In the boys race, Adam Smith led from the beginning to complete the race in First position, with Andy Koffi in 10th, closely followed by their team mates.
