• End of Term Celebrations

  The school year closed with a final assembly for pupils and staff. There were lots of rewards distributed which included Book Awards, Sporting Awards, Attendance Awards and Achievement Awards. We said a sad good bye to Mrs Hegharty, Mr Hopkins, Mrs Hawkins and Mrs Shinks, thanking them for their contributions to Hope Primary and wishing them all the best for the future . We welcomed Miss Stoddart, Miss McCormack and Miss Wilkinson. We hope they will be very happy with us. Have a look at our latest newsletter for more details and pictures!

• Stephen Twigg, Shadow Secretary of State for Education visits Hope Primary

  We were delighted to welcome Stephen Twigg last Friday as he visited Hope Primary. He toured every class and chatted to children and staff as he engaged in their learning. During his visit, he was presented with a 'Golden Ticket" which gave him entry to afternoon tea with a group of children. • Fun Day in Early Years

  The sun shone for us today as we held our Fun Day in Early Years. Many thanks to all of those who were able to support us. It was a thoroughly enjoyable event and we raised a profit of £270! Thank you.

  

• Market Garden...

  Roll up, roll up, roll up! The vegetables that the children have planted and tended so carefully are currently being harvested. On sale this morning we had lettuce, potatoes and radishes. There will be more on sale tomorrow so don't forget to bring your wallets and purses!

   

  In the autumn term we hope to add some plants to our produce. Please support us as we develop enterprise skills within our children!

  

• A Celebration of Sport

  Children enjoyed a day of sporting activities today as they took part in our celebration of sport. A range of events, stationed around the field, allowed all children to take part. There were refreshments available in our shaded drinks stations and plenty of opportunity to cool off! Children supported and encouraged one another throughout all the activities, official photographs and event announcements were created by the children themselves. It was a most enjoyable event, enjoyed by all... and the sun shone! Many thanks to the staff who co-ordinated the event and manned the stations!
